b. What is the national parks mandates?

c. What was the first national park?

d. How many national parks are in the U.S. today?
2. Description of TWO national parks
a. When were they created?

b. What kinds of ecosystems do they include?

c. What are some major human activities that occur there? (hiking, camping, etc)

d. What are some issues that the park is having to deal with? (pollution from crowds, encroachment of urban areas, etc)
3. Difference between National Parks and Public Lands (aka national forests)
a. What is the difference in protection?

b. How is the role of public different that national parks, give an example.
